Michael Gerald

Michael was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and graduated from St. Augustine High School before serving in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War.

He settled in Los Angeles after his time in service to pursue a professional basketball career, and this lead to meeting the people that eventually mentored him into the entertainment industry and Screen Actors Guild membership.  He has appeared in blockbuster movies and television shows as actor, stuntman, background actor, and stand-in.  

This was the platform that he needed to discover his gift as a writer and filmmaker.  He honed his craft reading books on how to write screenplays, reading scripts from the movies and television shows that he worked on, and learning from working screenwriters.  

His library of literary content is plentiful, and it includes more than 30 feature screenplays, numerous television show scripts, bibles, and treatments.  Eventually he would expand his professional writing skills to include books, articles, press releases, and blog postings.

Mr. Gerald is currently a screen and freelance writer, and a filmmaker with 5Picture Films.
